Why Dr. Priya Uppal and Incredible Smiles?
People choose our dentists for their skill, care, passion and ability to listen to their desires. We blend those desires with our experience and recommendations. In addition to being a leader in cosmetic dentistry, Incredible Smiles office is designed very differently from the traditional dental practice. We like to describe our office as soothing, elegant, and private where the focus is on caring for the guest’s entire experience, not just their smile.
When you step inside the door of Incredible Smiles, you will find noticeable differences from other dental practices. Privacy is important to our guests, so each guest is welcomed to their own suite where concerns or paperwork are handled confidentially. Our guests are treated with one-on-one care to ensure that they receive the most focused attention possible. While keeping the focus on exceptional dentistry, Incredible Smiles also offers the following services: paraffin hand waxing, lip waxing, Bose® headphones, soft blankets, and VIP express check-out during each visit.
Before any dental work is initiated, each guest has a complimentary cosmetic dentistry consultation. This is an ideal way to explore your goals and options for cosmetic and/or physiologic dentistry. It is a time to get acquainted with our team, to meet Dr. Priya Uppal and to see if this office is a fit for you.
Dr. Priya Uppal specializes in creating “incredible smiles” by combining technical expertise with artistic and skillful eyes. What sets us apart is our unique approach to shaping and customizing each tooth. During a smile enhancement, Dr. Priya Uppal build each tooth with composite and then reshape, shorten, or lengthen each tooth to be most flattering to the guest’s face shape, eyes, smile, height, and even lifestyle and personality. In other words, we don’t rely on a laboratory to design a smile for their guests. Instead, we see the process through its entirety, including staying in constant communication with our elite ceramist who is dedicated exclusively to our practice and making custom veneers from only the finest materials available.
Cosmetic (aesthetic) Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is a dental treatment that improves the beauty and health of one’s smile and comprises a multitude of procedures from teeth whitening to veneers. Cosmetic dentistry can help anyone who desires to improve the quality of their smile, their oral health, and their self-esteem. Because cosmetic dentistry is more affordable than it was a decade ago, more and more people are able to have cosmetic dental work performed. This also means that there are more and more dental practices opened by dentists who are interested in performing cosmetic dentistry, many of who look for dentist marketing ideas online in order to advertise to potential clients wanting a custom smile.
Dr. Priya Uppal and Dr. Lori Kemmet see cosmetic dentistry as providing more than just beautiful smiles and healthy teeth; cosmetic dentistry is a way to improve a person’s overall health and emotional well-being.
Cosmetic dental techniques have advanced dramatically over the last decade. The quality of ceramic and composite resins has improved, giving a more lifelike appearance to one’s smile. Where once gum-tissue surgery and contouring were performed traditionally with scalpels, lasers now provide fast, non-surgical results. Reshaping irregular or excessive gum tissue is an important aspect of almost every smile enhancement that Dr. Priya Uppal provides.
According to an American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry member poll:
- Veneers have increased by more than 250% in the past five years
- Teeth whitening/bleaching has increased by more than 300% in the past five years
- Direct bonding has increased by more than 100% in the past five years
TMJ Relief with Full Mouth Restoration
Full Mouth Restoration, sometimes called neuromuscular dentistry, is the individual restructuring of each and every tooth. The goal of Full Mouth Restoration is to restore ideal occlusion (bite), therefore alleviating tension or pain from temporomandibular disease (TMD) or jaw joint problems. Physiologic dentistry is a practice founded on the belief that a healthy smile begins with healthy function. This treatment determines the optimal position of the jaw by measuring the relaxed position of the head and neck muscles. Anyone can experience neuromuscular problems. Typically, those who were born with poor jaw position or improper bite (malocclusion) begin to experience problems in their teen years. Others who have a history of teeth grinding may begin to have symptoms in their mid-40s or earlier. Problems that can be addressed with physiologic dentistry include broken or missing teeth, as well as decaying dentistry and joint pain.
Fortunately, there are effective ways to address such problems. Neuromuscular issues require a physiologic approach and solution. The facial muscles are first relaxed and then Dr. Uppal uses a computerized diagnosis called Myotronics to determine ideal occlusion. Treatment options include an orthotic which repositions the bite to an ideal position in much the same way as a bite guard. The other, more fixed solution is the ideal restoration of each tooth (Full Mouth Restoration).
Incredible Smiles offers teeth whitening techniques that include the custom-made bleach trays, VivaStyle Whitening Kit, and dental veneers. The VivaStyle kit offers an easy-to-apply whitening pen, an LED light which actually sets the solution and keeps your mouth protected. We also offer custom bleach trays that are molded to your teeth and used with whitening gel to quickly whiten your smile. Dental veneers offer a more permanent solution for teeth whitening and do not stain.
