LVI Instructor*
"In 1997, I met and studied with Dr. William Dickerson, founder of The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI)*. The world's premier postgraduate dental teaching facility, LVI was established to educate, guide and support dentists in the delivery of the most advanced patient-based care possible. As a mentor and a friend, Bill helped me realize my talent as a cosmetic dentist and inspired me to continue to provide only the very best in service and materials to my guests."
"In 1998, I was asked to become one of the first instructors at LVI. Being an instructor has kept me up-to-date in the ever-improving world of dentistry and related technology. I teach advanced-level courses including Full Mouth Restoration. Teaching dentists from around the world in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry is one of the most satisfying things I do in my life. It brings me as much satisfaction as providing incredible smiles to the guests in my practice."
- Lori Ann Kemmet, DDS, LVIM
LVI Mastership*
"Dr. Lori Kemmet is one of the first two doctors nationally to be awarded the Mastership in Neuromuscular Dentistry... In my opinion, she is truly one of the best restorative dentists in the country." - William G. Dickerson, DDS, FAACD, LVIM - Founder, President and CEO of The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies
Until recently, even when doctors had been through programs at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, LVI could not assure the public that these doctors absorbed the knowledge presented to them, or grasped the important concepts of aesthetic restorative neuromuscular dentistry. Since LVI's reputation depends on the public's satisfaction and confidence in its doctors, it is important to them that you KNOW the doctors they direct you to are qualified. Consequently, LVI developed what many believe has become the most important accreditation certification in dentistry - Mastership in Aesthetic Neuromuscular Dentistry.
In 2004, Dr. Lori Kemmet was one of the first two dentists in the country to PROVE her expertise in aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry and EARN the Mastership award. Dr. Kemmet's success in fulfilling the rigorous Mastership program requirements is proof that she acquired the information and education necessary to perform complex procedures, that she demonstrated these skills to the faculty of LVI, and that she has made a commitment to continue her education. She IS the best of the best, proven and certified as such.
To apply for Mastership, Dr. Kemmet was first required to complete the highest levels of training at LVI. She submitted three Full Mouth Restoration cases, documented to exact specifications. One of the three cases was a person experiencing temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain. A comprehensive written exam was also taken, which she was required to pass with a score of 90% or higher. This examination was the final acknowledgment of Dr. Kemmet's advanced neuromuscular and cosmetic dental skills.
For Dr. Kemmet, the Mastership program allowed her to prove to herself that she grasped the knowledge necessary to provide comprehensive treatment. It provided a valuable learning experience and reinforced her confidence that she is truly qualified to promote herself as an expert in the area of aesthetic restorative neuromuscular dentistry.
